Vision Zero
EuroChem has adopted Vision Zero. Developed by the International Association of Social Security (IASS), the initiative defines a systemic approach to ensuring workplace safety and preventing occupational injuries. “Vision Zero is a transformational approach to prevention that integrates the three dimensions of safety, health and wellbeing at all levels of work.”
Vision Zero is a transformational approach to prevention that integrates the three dimensions of safety, health and well being at all levels of work.
Safe and healthy working conditions are not only a legal and moral obligation – they also pay off economically. International research on the return on investments in prevention proves that every dollar invested in safety and health generates a potential benefit of more than two dollars in positive economic effects. Vision Zero clearly defines the respective obligations of managers, employees and contractors with regard to HSE goals and objectives and is based on the premise that industrial accidents can be prevented. EuroChem was one of the first companies in Russia to join this global program.
EuroChem’s HSE Policy aims to:
- Reduce the frequency and severity of incidents and accidents and provide safe working conditions for all employees.
- Improve contractor management, awareness and training.
- Contribute to industry schemes that promote best practice in health and safety.
We analyze data on past safety events in order to identify areas for improvement – an accepted method of measuring progress. Our corporate ‘Towards 2020’ program defines our approach to proactive safety management, and the role of top management in the process.
