Warehousing operations set to begin at Tuapse transhipment terminal

Moscow, July 25 2011, EuroChem today announced that warehousing operations at its Tuapse Transhipment Terminal in Southern Russia will start on July 26, 2011. As part of its efforts to increase its dialogue with the local community, EuroChem invited local environmentalists and non-governmental organizations to observe operations, while experts will monitor air quality.

Special access to the terminal has been granted to over 30 guests, including representatives of local environmental and social organizations, the media, and state and municipal officials. The offloading process will be supervised by experts from the state laboratory “Federal Healthcare Association Krasnodar Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology”, which will carry out testing of the air quality and analyze the terminal’s operational impact on residential areas.

Commissioned on May 18, 2011, the first shipment to arrive at the Tuapse Transhipment Terminal will be granulated urea from Novomoskovskiy Azot.

EuroChem Logistics Director Igor Nechaev commented: “Ensuring that warehousing operations are monitored further highlights our commitment to transparency. As we previously agreed, we will also reiterate our invitation to the local environmental and public organizations as well as to the media and invite them to observe transloading operations in August. Additionally, air and water quality testing will also be conducted by specialists from federal health agencies”

A meeting between the Company and the city’s environmental and public organizations will be held at the terminal’s conference once warehousing operations are completed.
