EuroChem’s Tuapse terminal completes first loading operations

Moscow, August 22, 2011, EuroChem today announced that a first ship was successfully loaded at its Tuapse Transhipment Terminal. As with warehousing operations, EuroChem invited observers to the loading operations. Community members, city, district, and regional representatives as well as health professionals answered the company’s invitation to attend the loading of the vessel MZ Zealand Delilah.

Loading operations began early in the morning of August 17th and lasted 36 hours. During this time, the MV Zealand Delilah was loaded with close to 11,000 tonnes of granulated urea bound for Holland.

Air and water quality were carefully monitored throughout the loading procedures with the help of 7 sampling and testing stations positioned on the terminal’s territory. Further testing carried out by specialists of the Krasnodar Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology Mobile Laboratory Unit concluded that the levels of dust particles found in the air and water remained well below established norms.
