EuroChem sponsors Russian language competition organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania

Lithuania’s Ministry of Education and Science in collaboration with EuroChem held a Russian language competition in the town of Kėdainiai, one of Lithuania’s oldest cities and home to EuroChem’s Lifosa plant.

Following preliminary rounds conducted throughout Lithuania, the 86 strongest students were invited to the finals in Kėdainiai. Among the finalists, 61 have been studying Russian as a foreign language whereas 25 are native speakers. The three-day event included a Russian poem recital, grammar tests, and social events. The students were treated to a performance based on Russian classics and arranged an exhibition dedicated to the creative work of A.P. Chekhov.

All participants were awarded commemorative gifts and souvenirs, while the winners received prizes and diplomas of excellence from the Ministry of Education and Science; a valuable reward for students pursuing their academic studies.

Russian Ambassador to Lithuania Vladimir Chkhikvadze and Dainius Numgaudis, State Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Science of Lithuania, congratulated the winners and took part in the closing ceremony.
